Petermann Bedat – The Ref 1967

Influenced by pocket watches and the finest german watchmaking, Petermann Bédat unveils in 2018 their very first timepiece, a 340-hours work of art featuring the in-house dead-beat second caliber 171. The 30mm caliber is regulated by a large “Breguet-style” balance wheel, and an impressive designed dead-beat ancre.

Entirely decorated by hand, the plate & bridges are made of german silver, displaying different kind of finishing on both sides: inward beveling, black-mirror polish on steel parts, Côtes de Genève, Sunray & Circular graining… Inspired by the 60s grail era, the dial represents the new design language of the brand. This new semi-open dial has been created to highlight the craftmanship within. The central plate cut-outs are designed to frame the nicely sized rubies, as they are one of the vital elements of the movement.
