Humans since 1982 is a pioneering studio and global luxury brand for collectible art and design, based in Stockholm, Sweden. Through their many exhibitions worldwide — including Somerset House, Saatchi Gallery, and Smithsonian Design Museum — Humans since 1982 have established themselves as a force for immersive and captivating experiences. Their work is in the permanent collections of the Vitra Design Museum in Germany, Musée international d’horlogerie in Switzerland, and the Nationalmuseum in Sweden, among others.

In the craftsmanship of their casing, they aspire to seamlessly meld the best of manual artistry with refined technologies. Their designer vision materialised in a minimal, slender frame, like a painting. Years of fine-tuning and attention to detail brought tjem the cases they offer today, available in two distinct materials: In the realm of mineral composites, multiple pieces seamlessly converge to create the appearance of one solid piece. After assembly, the bodies are cured for a full day and the surface is delicately sanded to perfection.

Alternatively, their aluminium bodies emerge from a single slab, milled under the exacting precision of a CNC machine and carefully refined afterward. They work with esteemed local suppliers in Sweden to bring these refined cases to life, establishing the canvas upon which the dance of their clock hands can unfold.
